The Authors

Although the 1723 Constitutions are known widely as ‘Anderson’s Constitutions’, the authorship was not the sole effort of James Anderson but involved George Payne and Jean Theophilus Desaguliers, with Desaguliers generally held to be the driving mind behind the endeavour.
